Day. 3

On Day 3 we brought in materials to test which applicant would be more effective in waterproofing cardboard. We brought in a polyurethane coating as well as other types of liquids to attempt to waterproof the cardboard. We concluded that the poly was the best coating, in that it was less resistance to cracking and would hold form better.

Day 2

On the Second day of our project we presented our price findings to Mr. Jones and went to work with what we had. We laid out the entire outline of our cardboard catamaran, and concluded that we needed to taper off the nose at a larger angle due to the available linty of materials.

In addition to this we began to research waterproofing materials, and decided what we would test for our boat.

Day 1

For the first day of our project of our project we worked on our basic design, which consisted of a catamaran like build. (One main body which houses the passengers and gear, as well as two outriggers which helped to provide support).

We also got all of our measurements exacted, so that we could go to Home Depot and price heck all of our supplies. That evening we did so, and brought our total up to approx. 90$.
